Board of Directors

Jack Biddle
Partner, Novak Biddle Venture Partners

Prior to co-founding NBVP in 1996, Jack was President and CEO of InterCAP, a venture-backed computer software company. InterCAP was number 18 on the "Fast 50" list of the mid-Atlantic's fastest growing companies and was acquired by Intergraph in 1995. From 1987 to 1990, Jack rose from Senior Associate to Partner at Vanguard Atlantic, Ltd., a merchant banking group focused on M&A advisory work and control investments in software companies. At VAL, he served as turnaround CEO of a system software company and then as COO of an application software company. Earlier in his career he was an IT Industry Generalist, focused on Telecommunications Technology, at the Gartner Group, where he was also Executive Assistant to the CEO, Gideon Gartner. He began his career in 1983 in Austin, Texas at Business Development Partners, an early stage venture capital partnership. Jack holds a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia.

Jack currently serves on the Boards of WealthEngine, Vision Chain (Chairman), CorasWorks (Chairman), Triumfant, eMinor, ObjectVideo, Starfish Retention Solutions and Appian Corporation. Past Board or Observer seats include SafeView, Inc. (acquired by L3 Communications), Matrics (acquired by Symbol Technologies), Giga Information Group (Nasdaq: GIGX) (Lead Director), acquired by Forrester), Telogy Networks, (acquired by Texas Instruments), Tantivy (acquired by Interdigital), AnswerLogic (acquired by Primus Knowledge Systems), and Blackboard, Inc. (Nasdaq: BBBB). He is a Director of the Computer & Communications Industry Association, a member of Business Executives for National Security (BENS), and advises the U.S. Department of Defense on technology and innovation.

He is on the Investment Committee of the University of Maryland's New Markets Growth Fund, an SBA leveraged fund targeting private equity investments in disadvantaged areas. He is a board member of TiE-DC. He is a frequent speaker on entrepreneurship for the U.S. Department of Commerce, and has made presentations for them in Russia, China and Japan. Jack is a Director and former Vice Chairman of the Board of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. He is a Trustee serving as Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair of the Sibley Memorial Hospital Foundation and also serves on the Hospital's Investment Committee. Ed Hart
Partner, Director and Technical Advisory Board Chairman, Digital Signal Corporation

Ed Hart has over 35 years experience creating, restructuring and leading large technical global organizations in both government and private industry. He is currently a Founding Partner, Director and Technical Advisory Board Chairman, of Digital Signal Corporation (DSC), a three-dimensional imaging company employing unique patented technology developing surveillance products for a wide variety of government and commercial needs. Prior to DSC, Mr. Hart was at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) where he was a Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the commercially focused Center for Information Protection. He also founded a consulting practice providing technical and management services in the commercial sector. Mr. Hart began his career in government research and development, building and deploying systems worldwide and concluded his government career with the NSA as the Deputy Director for one of their two missions.

Hart earned a bachelor of science in mathematics and physics from Furman University, a master of arts from American University, and completed postgraduate work in mathematics at American University and the University of Maryland. He has earned several notable distinctions including the Presidential Distinguished Senior Executive, Presidential Meritorious Senior Executive, National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal, and the National Security Agency's Exceptional Civilian Service Award. Wayne Jackson
Executive Chairman, JackBe Corporation

Wayne Jackson currently serves as Executive Chairman at JackBe Corporation. Prior to joining JackBe, Wayne was the CEO of open source network security pioneer Sourcefire, Inc., which he guided from fledgling start-up through IPO in March of 2007 at a valuation of approximately $350 million.

Before joining Sourcefire, Jackson co-founded Riverbed Technologies, a wireless infrastructure company, and served as its CEO until the successful sale of the company to Aether Systems for more than $1 billion in March 2000. At Riverbed, Jackson grew the company from start-up to category winner in less than two years with more than 100 employees and relationships with industry leaders including Palm, Oracle, IBM, Symbol and Microsoft.

As the Managing Director of Aether Capital, Jackson led the process for strategic investing and played a key role in two secondary stock offerings that raised more than $2 billion. Previously, he built a sophisticated emerging-technologies profit center for a large systems integrator and has consulted to organizations including General Electric, the World Bank and the Federal Reserve.

Jackson holds a B.B.S in Finance from James Madison University. Pascal Luck
Managing Director, Core Capital Partners

Pascal Luck joined Core Capital in 2000 and focuses primarily on the firm’s new media, networking infrastructure and information technology sectors. Pascal has been an advisor to and an investor in emerging technology companies as an investment banker and venture capitalist for more than seventeen years.

Prior to joining Core, Pascal was Managing Director and Founder of Cross Hill Financial Group, a DC-based private investment banking/M&A advisory firm. Earlier, he was a Senior Manager with Deloitte Consulting where he specialized in finance and strategy initiatives for product and service companies in the telecommunications and information technology industries. He began his career as a systems engineer with AT&T-IS/Bell Laboratories.

Pascal is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds an M.B.A. in Finance with Distinction from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a Masters of Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, and a B.S. in Physics and Engineering from Loyola College.

Pascal represents Core on the Boards of Directors of BridgeWave Communications, JackBe, Triumfant, Purewave Networks, and V.i. Laboratories. Previous board affiliations include GENBAND, Inlet Technologies (acquired by Cisco), NextPoint Networks (acquired by GENBAND), Sourcefire (NASDAQ: FIRE), Trust Digital (acquired by McAfee), Covega (acquired by Gemfire Corporation), and VPI Systems. Xander Perry
General Partner, Anthem Capital Management

Xander Perry joined the Anthem team in 1998 and has over 10 years business experience with emphasis on telecommunications, information technology and venture capital investing. Before joining Anthem, Perry worked with Advent International in Boston, Massachusetts where he assisted with the venture capital firm's investments in technology companies. Prior to his career in venture capital, Perry designed and implemented software systems and telecommunications solutions for MCI, BellSouth, and other Fortune 500 companies. He spent four years with Andersen Consulting (Accenture) where he was aligned with the firm’s IT/telecom and Telecommunications industry groups. Perry acquired his MBA from the Wharton School of Business and his bachelor's degree from Emory University. John Prisco
CEO, Triumfant, Inc.

John Prisco joins Triumfant as President and CEO with more than 25 years of experience as a founder and manager of numerous high-tech start-up companies. Prisco established a track record of success in the high-tech field first by founding Penn Access, a competitive local access carrier operating in Pittsburgh. Prisco also served as President and CEO of 2nd Century Communications, the nation’s first packet-based CLEC operating in 33 of the largest U.S. metropolitan areas. In 2001, Prisco became CEO of eLink Communications, a BLEC with over 300 multi-tenant buildings operating in New York City. In 2003, he became President and CEO of Ridgeway Systems & Software, a U.K.-based software company specializing in secure firewall traversal and acquired by Tandberg Incorporated in 2004. Most recently, Prisco served as President and CEO of GeoVantage Inc., a location-based services aerial imaging company sold to John Deere at the end of 2005. Prisco holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and a Master of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Tom Skelton
TriState Investment Group IV and NC IDEA

Tom Skelton joins the Triumfant Board of Directors with more than 30 years experience in IT general management and sales. This broad base includes 12 years with Manugistics, where he grew the company from $14M to $65M and took it through to an IPO as Chief Operating Officer. Since then, Skelton has been President or CEO of four additional software and services companies. In addition to Triumfant, he currently serves on five boards of public and private, as well as non-profit, organizations.
